    Vacancy for Parish Clerk (and Responsible Financial Officer)

    Manea Parish Council is seeking to appoint a self-motivated, forward-thinking and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

    Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have administrative and financial experience, be highly organised and have the ability to work on their own initiative and to deadlines.

    Good communication skills are also essential. A working knowledge of local government law and procedures is highly desirable or a willingness to learn through training. Applicants would need to be able to work from home.

    Working hours are 10 per week, which includes attendance at evening meetings.

    The salary scale is local government spinal column points 28 to 32 (currently £24,964 to £28,485 per annum for full-time equivalent (i.e. 37 hours per week)) pro-rata. The starting point on the salary scale for the successful applicant would be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

    The Community Safety Partnership (CSP) has designed a survey that allows the community to highlight any issues that affect them or their local area. Information from these will be used to inform the priorities and the work of the CSP.

    The overall objective of the CSP is to work in partnership to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour.  Have Your Say

    The service is short of drivers in the village but volunteers from neighbouring schemes are willing to take people in Manea, particularly to hospital appointments.
